Started competing in sports from a young age. Built the foundation of discipline, grit, and what it means to push your body past what feels comfortable.
Struggling with bingeing while lifting for athletics
The initial moments I became aware of a more complicated relationship with food. Lifting for sports but battling behaviors I didn't yet have the tools to understand.
Still bingeing, very insecure — but still showing up to the gym
Lifting every day but deeply unhappy. Insecurity was running the show. Looking back, this was the period that taught me the most about where real change actually starts.
First calorie deficit — and learning the hard way
Tried my first calorie deficit, but fell into cycles of heavy over-restriction/binge eating. Hours of cardio. But also: built a real gym routine for the first time, and started genuinely learning about nutrition and how the body works.
Seeing small results — but still fighting old habits
Still struggling with bingeing, drinking, and smoking. Unhappy and working three jobs: bartending, food truck, fast food. Small results were showing but LOTS of internal work to be done.
Finally seeing lifting results, started coaching for free
Training clicked. Took it to the next level and began coaching friends and clients for free while working two jobs. Finally understood how to manipulate nutrition for real results.

Won 1st Overall (Natural Bodybuilding Competition)
Everything paid off. Made it to the stage. Proof that the hard seasons were worth it.
Enough clients to quit bartending. Began coaching full time.
Finally had a roster big enough to walk away from the bar. Began coaching full time and never looked back. This was the moment M3ggyLifts became real.
Completed first Half Marathon and Full Marathom
Completed my first Half and Full Marathon as a testament to my mind failing before my body physically does.

Chasing a 4.0, the best shape of my life, and constant growth as a coach
The goal is simple: do something I’ve never done before without letting myself go in the process. You always have to raise the standard you set for yourself.

HOWEVER…
On paper, life looked perfect. In reality, I fell into months of self-sabotage prioritizing the wrong things, stuck in a negative loop I couldn't seem to break. For months I fought to move forward because I knew what was happening in my mind. I understood it was only a matter of time before I bounced back stronger. I knew my mind needed a pursuit. Instead of choosing where I’m comfortable (training), I decided to venture into one of my biggest weak points, school. I chose to pursue my Master’s in Applied Nutrition to build resilience, grit, and self mastery, just like a marathon or training would. And just like that, the bounce back began, solidifying proof of concept.
Nutrition experiments. Self-reflection. Mindset building.
A year of deep experimentation with lifting, nutrition, recovery. Truly gaining a deeper understanding of how the mind is the root of everything.
First bodybuilding prep — building an unbreakable mindset
Began my first bodybuilding competition prep. Not just to improve my physique… I wanted to prove to myself what I was capable of when I committed to something completely. I wanted to explore where my limits lie and what my internal dialogue sounded like when I was ground down to the bone.
